Russia now in CLE’s sights

In addition to its recently announced visit to Australia, and its visit earlier in the year to Latin America, the much-travelled CLE is now inviting Indian companies to join it on a visit to the Mosshoes-Mospel exhibition in Russia.
The event will take place from September 10-13 at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre in Krasnogorsk. Government funding is available for companies wishing to take part.
According to CLE statistics, India’s exports of leather and leather products to Russia have increased in value from $28.6 million in financial year 2012-13 to $51.6 million in 2016-17, growing at an average of 16% per year. However, India still only has a share of 1.9% of Russia’s total leather and leather products imports, offering what the CLE has described as “ample scope to further enhance India’s exports to Russia”.
