Louis Vuitton plans seventeenth French workshop

LVMH-owned luxury brand Louis Vuitton has signed an agreement to build its 17th workshop on French soil in the town of Vendôme, in the country’s Loir-et-Cher region, according to reports in local media.

The facility would employ around 200 people with work expected to begin at the start of 2019 with a view to it opening early in 2020.

Earlier this year, Louis Vuitton announced plans to build two new workshops, in La Merlatière, in France’s Vendée department, and in Beaulieu-sur-Layon, in the Maine-et-Loire department.
