Brazilian tanneries prepare for Lineapelle New York

16/07/2018
With the support of the Brazilian Leather project, five Brazilian tanneries will show their leathers at the forthcoming Lineapelle New York exhibition (July 17-18).

"In recent years Lineapelle New York has been the trade show that Courovale most invested in because it has a very qualified public, reaching out to the top fashion brands in the United States,” said Veronica Meurer, manager of Curtume Courovale, one of the participating companies.

She added that the event takes place at a time when there has been “a notable reaction in the international market” for footwear and accessories.

For her part, Letícia Luft, manager of the Brazilian Leather project, said Lineapelle New York also attracts designers from the furniture, decoration and automotive interior sectors. She also explained that the US is the third largest importer of Brazilian leather, taking in 18.3% of the country’s total leather exports.

The full list of Brazilian tanneries participating at this year’s Lineapelle New York are: Cortume Krumenauer, Courovale, Curtume Natur, Nova Kaeru and Soubach Special Leathers.
