Successful environmental audit for ISA TanTec in China

Leather manufacturing group ISA TanTec has successfully completed an ‘cleaner production’ audit at its facility in Heshan, China.

Manufacturing companies are required to undergo the Cleaner Production Assessment audit every five years. The ISA TanTec production facility in Heshan received top marks for its continuous improvement in environmental management.

Auditors, from the Jiangmen bureau of the economy and from Heshan’s own environmental protection bureau, have passed on a recommendation to the provincial authorities in Guangdong to grant ‘excellent’ status in environmental management.

“These results reinforce the group’s continuous commitment to environmental excellence, sustainability and social responsibilities in the tanning industry,” ISA TanTec said in reaction to the news.
