Adient on the hunt for new CEO

Automotive seating provider Adient has announced the appointment of Frederick Henderson as its interim chief executive officer after Bruce McDonald stepped down from the role.

The change is effective immediately. Mr McDonald, who is also relinquishing his role as chairman, will remain as an advisor to the CEO until September 30, 2018.

The Adient board of directors has begun a comprehensive search process to identify a new CEO.

In the meantime, Mr Henderson will lead the company. He was previously president and chief executive of General Motors and has 26 years of experience in the automotive industry. He has been on the Adient board since 2016.
