Freiberg Leather Days event gets under way

Finished product brands, automotive seating companies, leather chemicals and machinery manufacturers, specialist researchers and academics were all represented, alongside tanners. And among the leather manufacturers in the room were the new president of COTANCE, Andreas Kindermann of Wollsdorf Leather, and his immediate predecessor, Thomas Bee from Schafstall.
In a packed programme, there was a mix of scientific presentations and others with a more general industry focus, with lively discussions in question-and-answer sessions at the end of each talk, as well as in the breaks for lunch and coffee.
The first day ended with an industry dinner in Freiberg’s Tivoli ballroom.
