CLE to repeat buyer-seller visit to Chile

India’s Council for Leather Exports (CLE) has announced that it will repeat the exercise of inviting tanners to travel with it to Chile later in the year. CLE arranged a similar to visit in 2017, during which the Indian delegation met more than 150 local buyers and generated sales of almost $2 million.

The 2018 visit will take place in Santiago on October 23 and 24.

According to CLE, Chile accounts for approximately 50% of India’s total export of leather and leather products to Latin America. India accounts for a share of around 4% of Chile’s total imports of leather and leather products.
