New COTANCE president calls for more unity

Immediately afterwards, Mr Kindermann told leatherbiz that his priorities for his two-year term as president will be to establish greater co-ordination among the national leather industry associations of Europe and for these organisations to work together to promote and protect the European leather industry. He added: “This has already started and I believe that the relationships are good.”
Mr Kindermann will be assisted by three vice-presidents: Thomas Bee from Schafstall Holding in Germany, who is the immediate past-president, Rino Mastrotto from Rino Mastrotto Group in Italy, and Jean-Christophe Muller from Tannerie Haas in France.
After completing a six-year cycle, Jonathan Muirhead of the Scottish Leather Group stepped down from the COTANCE board at the Verona meeting. He received a warm ovation from his colleagues for what COTANCE called his fruitful leadership of and loyal service to the organisation the European leather industry organisation.
