New president of COTANCE named

The leather industry’s representative body before the European Union, COTANCE, has confirmed its new president.

Chief executive of Austrian company Wollsdorf Leather, Andreas Kindermann, will be the head of the organisation for the next two years.

Wollsdorf Leather is a family-owned business with 870 employees. It specialises in automotive, aviation and furniture leathers at its tannery in southern Austria. It also runs cutting and sewing plants in Croatia and China and has a showroom in the US.

The company was the global winner of Tannery of the Year in 2014.
