Shoes let Sri Lankan leather exports down

An official report from Sri Lanka’s Central Bank has confirmed that leather-sector exports from the country fell by 4.4% in 2017 compared to the previous year.

Exports of shoes and leathergoods brought in a total of $158 million last year. The Central Bank said a decline in footwear shipments was the main reason for the fall in export revenues.
