World Meat Congress to take place in Dallas

Dallas is preparing to host the twenty-second World Meat Congress, which takes place from May 30-June 1.

Closed meetings for members of the International Meat Secretariat and of the US Meat Export Federation will take place on the first day before the congress proper gets under way on May 31.

Government ministers, trade experts, academics and industry analysts dominate the two-day programme. Highlights include keynote presentations from Sonny Perdue, US Secretary of Agriculture, from Lawrence MacAulay, Canada’s Minister of Agriculture and from their counterpart in Argentina, Luis Miguel Etchevehere.

Panel sessions at the World Meat Congress will cover topics including global trade in red meat, consumer tastes and production and supply chain issues.
