In its latest analysis of commodity prices in the global economy, the World Bank has predicted a steep fall in the price of beef.

In its April 2018 report, the organisation gave an average price per kilo of beef of $4.35 in 2018. While it forecasts only slight falls in this price in the next three years, it said that in 2030, the price (at constant rates, based on the 2010 value of the US dollar) will be $3.44 per kilo, a decline of more than 20%.
