The new issue of World Leather is now available

Follow the link for all the results from the 2018 Tannery of the Year gala final, which was held in Hong Kong in March. It includes a detailed look at how Thai tanning group Interhides’ commitment to partnership helped it to be named global winner. There is also a close look at the winners of the Innovation Award and the new Special Project prize, as well as information about how previous Tannery of the Year participants have used the programme to build strong links to customers, to parent companies, to politicians and to each other.
The magazine’s technical section features contributions from a number of industry-leading companies, including Lanxess, Gemata and Cartigliano. There is also a special extra section dedicated to the issue of salt usage in the leather industry, with World Leather CEO, Simon Yarwood, explaining why the practice of salting hides and shipping them around the world must stop.
This issue’s Beast to Beauty feature focuses on US accessories brand Jackson Wayne, which believes in letting the vegetable-tanned, full-grain leather it uses speak for itself.
