Audi celebrates record Q1 results, despite Europe slip
09/04/2018
Between January and March the company sold 463,800 vehicles worldwide, 9.8% more than in the same quarter last year. There was particularly high demand in China (+41.9%) and North America (+10.2%).
In Europe, however, sales since January came in below the record-breaking level from 2017, down 4.7%.
“The record-breaking start to the year provides us with important momentum,” said sales director Bram Schot on announcing the results. And he said Audi is confident of a resurgence in European sales throughout the rest of 2018 because it has new A7, A6, A1 and Q3 models coming out.
