Kering confirms Stella McCartney split

Luxury group Kering announced at the end of March that it had agreed to sell its 50% share in the Stella McCartney brand to its eponymous founder.

This deal means Stella McCartney will become the sole owner of her brand. 

“The cooperation between Stella McCartney Ltd and Kering will continue over time with the aim of guaranteeing a smooth transition in order to minimise disruption and maintain the brand’s momentum in the market”, Kering said. 

Ms McCartney will remain on the board of the Kering Foundation
