Hubert de Givenchy dies

Luxury leathergoods group LVMH, which acquired the Givenchy brand in 1988, said Mr Givenchy was one of the designers that “placed Paris firmly at the heart of world fashion post 1950”.
In a statement, the Givenchy brand said its founder had revolutionised international fashion with “the timelessly stylish looks” he created for Audrey Hepburn, his friend and muse for more than 40 years.
