Tod’s appoints new creative director for Roger Vivier brand

High-end footwear group Tod’s has confirmed the appointment of Gherardo Felloni as the new creative director of its Roger Vivier brand. Mr Felloni previously worked at Prada.

He said on taking up the his new post that he regards Roger Vivier, the Paris-based footwear designer who made his name while working with Christian Dior between 1953 and 1963, as “a master of modernity”.

Roger Vivier died in 1998, just before his ninety-fifth birthday. Tod’s acquired the Roger Vivier brand in 2005. Mr Felloni said: “I feel honoured to be part of Roger Vivier today and to be able to develop the brand further, respecting its heritage and tradition while adding a contemporary and modern take.”
