TFL scents success with new products

Leather chemicals manufacturer TFL has developed two products that it says will allow the smell of leather to remain attractive to car buyers. The products will achieve this, TFL has said, in keeping with requirements on controlling fogging and emissions of volatile organic compounds, and without affecting fastness properties.

The two products are fatliquoring agent Coripol Leo and auxiliary Sella Tec Deo.

TFL said Coripol Leo can fulfil the latest emission requirements and achieve “outstanding leather quality” with improved odour. At the same time, washing and fixing aid Sella Tec Deo can help to minimise the odour caused by the degradation of proteins and the resulting formation of amines and thiols. It recommends that the product be used in the last washing bath, with a rather low float level.
