Fourth Chinese Car Symposium to take place in Beijing

Professor Ferdinand Dudenhöffer, who runs the University of Duisburg-Essen’s Centre for Automotive Research, is, this year, once again organising a discussion event called the Chinese Car Symposium.

The 2018 event will take place in Beijing with a welcome dinner on April 25 and the congress itself on April 26.

Dr Dieter Zetsche, chief executive of Daimler AG, will be the keynote speaker. Other major contributions will come from François Tardif, executive vice-president in China of automotive interiors company Faurecia, and Enno Tang, China president of automotive brand Continental.

This year’s symposium will coincide with the 2018 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. Shanghai, the venue for the symposium last year, and Beijing hold major international auto shows on alternate years.
