Erretre moves to ease friction

Research and development and special projects manager, Adriano Peruzzi, explained that there is more to the name than just temperature. He explained that what Erretre aims to offer tanners with Cold Milling is the ability to make better, flatter, softer, leather.
“It’s not simply about keeping the temperature low,” Mr Peruzzi said at the exhibition. “This system has two independent circuits, which gives it the ability to absorb heat that is generated by friction during milling. It’s this that gives flatter, softer leather.”
He went on to say that the lower tolerance range of non-chrome-tanned hides in terms of humidity and temperature may make Cold Milling particularly suited to automotive leather manufacture.
