Ethiopia: leather is a leading performer

Among the sectors of the economy that were close to meeting the government’s ambitious target were coffee, which brought in more than $380 million in export revenues over the six-month period, and leather.
Ethiopia’s ministry of trade has said the manufacturing sector as a whole brought in $223 million in export earnings and that leather and leather products, as well as textiles and garments, were the leading performers.
