Arthur Edelman, who alongside his wife Teddy founded Edelman Leather, has passed away at the age of 92.

After getting married, the couple worked for Teddy Edelman’s family tannery business Fleming-Joffe, a supplier of high-fashion leathers. US artist Andy Warhol was a member of their team for six years from 1958.

In 1971, the Edelmans sold Fleming-Joffe. They later launched Edelman Leather, aiming to provide luxury upholstery for high-end residential, office, hospitality, aviation and marine projects. The business was sold to office furniture maker Knoll in 2007.

Teddy Edelman died in 2016. The couple were married for 66 years. Arthur Edelman is survived by six children: Sam, Sally, Toni, David, Mary, and John.
