Fiat Chrysler moves away from sales to car rental firms

Fiat Chrysler has reported sales of almost 155,000 vehicles for the month of November across all of its brands: Jeep, Dodge, RAM Trucks and Alfa Romeo, as well as Chrysler and Fiat.

While the overall figure represents a year-on-year decline of 4%, the group pointed out that its retail sales of just under 130,000 vehicles mean a rise of 2% in this segment that represents almost 85% of its business at the moment.

The rest of sales were to the fleet sales market, which declined by 25% year on year as part of a strategy that Fiat Chrysler has put in place to move away from selling its cars to rental agencies.
