Lima show provides selling opportunity for leather SMEs

Peru’s minister for the manufacturing sector, Pedro Olaechea, said he expected the total number of visitors attending across the three days to exceed 5,000 people and that the 100 or so small and medium-sized manufacturers taking part could expect to generate sales with a combined value of around $1.2 million.
Professional buyers and the public attended the event and had the opportunity to buy products made by the exhibitors in the course of the show. Wallets, belts and leather shoes, many made by artisans from the Ayacucho region in the south-central Andes, were among the products available.
