German school group visits ISA TanTec in China
ISA TanTec’s tannery at Heshan in China hosted a visit from 26 high school students and teachers from Germany on November 7. The group, from the Geschwister Scholl Gymnasium in Pulheim, in North Rhine-Westphalia, went to the tannery as part of their programme during an exchange visit to southern China.

Chief executive, Uwe Hutzler, led the visitors on a tour of the facility and explained the company’s background (founder, Tom Schneider, is from Germany), its latest technical innovations and achievements, and its LITE (Low Impact To Environment) concept, which emphasises the importance of eco-friendly manufacturing.

ISA TanTec said afterwards that it is committed to supporting educational and community initiatives.
