Exports of Brazilian beef in the first ten months of 2017 were almost 8% higher in volume than in the same period in 2016 and 30% higher in value.

Between January and October 2017, Brazilian packers shipped 986,000 tonnes of beef to overseas market, compared to 914,500 tonnes during the same months last year.

In terms of value, those shipments brought in more than $4.1 billion in export revenues. The comparative figure for the first ten months of 2016 was just over $3.1 billion. This means export revenues for Brazilian beef went up by almost $1 billion in the first ten months of this year.
