Tanning group ISA TanTec has reconfirmed the status of its tanneries in China and Vietnam as gold rated under the protocol run by multi-stakeholder body the Leather Working Group.

After recent re-audits of the two Asian facilities, both retained gold status.

At the same time, an audit of the group’s tannery in the US, which has been in operation for only two years, delivered a rating of silver.
