Growing customer base brings Sukarne to ACLE

Mexican packer and tanning group Sukarne travelled to Shanghai for the 2017 All China Leather Exhibition at the end of August. As a leading exporter of wet blue and automotive crust, Sukarne said it regards the Shanghai fair as “an ideal forum” for meeting its expanding customer base.

Sukarne currently has a slaughter capacity of more than 8,500 hides per day, produced at five different facilities in the northern and central regions of Mexico. All hides arrive fresh daily in refrigerated trucks to processing plants in León.

Its processing plants are compliant with accredited programmes such as ISO, Ecco leather standards and the Leather Working Group and this has helped the company broaden its customer base in Asia and Europe.
