Record July for Audi after “challenging” start to 2017

Automotive brand Audi has a announced sales for the month of July of almost 155,000 vehicles, registering year-on-year growth of 3.5%. It said on making the announcement that this figure represents the highest July sales in its history.

Audi recorded growth in all regions: of 1.4% in Europe, 4% in North America, 6.7% in Asia Pacific and a particularly impressive 10.3% in China. With 51,235 deliveries in July, China accounted for 33% of all Audi sales and registered another record for the month.

The company said its sales for the first seven months of 2017 were 3.6% down on the figure for the same months in 2016. It said it had experienced a “challenging” start to this year.
