JBS releases 2016 results
Brazil-based packer and tanning group JBS has released its results for 2016, registering revenues of almost $55 billion. This represents an increase of 4.6% compared to the figure for 2015. Earnings before reductions on this figure were around $3.5 billion, a fall of 15.1% compared to the year before.

JBS Mercosul, the part of the business whose results encompass the activity of its leather division, JBS Couros, achieved revenues of almost $9 billion, 1.5% down on 2015. However, JBS Mercosul earnings fell by 26.5% year on year to $540 million.
