Furla figures point to growth of almost 25% in 2016

Leathergoods group Furla has said it expects to finalise its 2016 turnover at €422 million, which would represent a year-on-year increase of 24.5%.

It said a growing appreciation among consumers in overseas markets of the brand’s offering was one of the reasons for this growth. It has a direct presence in 100 countries, with own-brand stores now numbering 444, compared to 415 two years ago, split evenly between directly-owned boutiques and franchises.

Priorities for 2017 include strengthening its presence further in China, Australia, Germany and the UK.
