BASF appoints new head of performance chemicals

Chemicals manufacturer BASF has announced that Anup Kothari will take over as president of its performance chemicals division on April 1. Leather chemicals is part of the performance chemicals division. Mr Kothari will replace Dr Christian Fischer, who has decided to leave BASF.

Originally from India, Anup Kothari joined BASF in 1999 and has held senior positions in the US, China and Germany. He became senior vice-president in North America for the performance chemicals division two years ago.
