Tyson restructures its leadership team

Packer and tanning company Tyson has named a new leadership team to work with Tom Hayes, who took over as chief executive at the start of this year.

As a result, Donnie King, president of North American operations; Sara Lilygren, executive vice-president for corporate affairs and Gary Cooper, chief information officer, will all leave Tyson in the coming months.

Sally Grimes will take over as president of North American retail; Andy Callahan will be president of North American food services. The new team will also include a chief sustainability officer but the post has not been filled yet.

“These important changes better align our management structure to our purpose and strategy,” Tom Hayes said. “This new structure will facilitate efficiency and growth, as well as lay the foundation for strong leadership and management continuity.”
