A university in Le Marche is to launch a new master’s course on “the art of tanning”. The University of Camerino has set the course up in partnership with two local companies: the Conceria del Chienti tannery and furniture manufacturer Poltrona Frau.

The partners have arranged a formal launch of the course at the Poltrona Frau museum in nearby Tolentino on January 24. They have spoken of using the Camerino course as a model that could be rolled out all across Italy.
