EL.PA claims “turning point” in spray systems

Tanning machinery manufacturer EL.PA completed several projects in the course of 2016 involving the installation in tannery finishing lines of its new Hydrospray water-based spray booths.

In light of increasing focus on the environmental impact of leather production, EL.PA has explained, this  technology, combined with its low-pressure HX-300 spray guns and Airclean 15 fume-scrubber, marks what it has called “a true turning point” in terms of emissions.

It has also pointed out that the use of smaller amounts of sprayed product will result in better cost efficiency without compromising on quality.

The new guns offer a high transfer-rate of chemicals directly onto leather, decreasing overspray in the booth. Maintenance is easy and low-cost, according to EL.PA.

For its part, the Aircleaner 15 represents “a true step forward”, the technology provider has said because it has a filtration surface that is 50% greater than those of previous models, catching a higher quantity of dust particles and further reducing environmental impact.
