LVMH launches new edition of luxury academic programme

12/01/2017
Luxury group LVMH has kicked off the twenty-seventh edition of a research and teaching programme centred on luxury brand management that it introduced in 1991.

In partnership with the ESSEC business school, LVMH runs the programme to give participants an in-depth understanding of key issues and challenges in the luxury industry. It says the initiative, which it calls the LVMH-ESSEC Chair – Luxury Brand Management, is part of its ongoing commitment to preserving and transmitting knowledge and know-how, “enabling talents to gain unique experience specific to the world of luxury”.

According to LVMH, this is the longest-standing academic programme dedicated to luxury brand management. It combines coursework and practical training. There are lectures by ESSEC professors, tours of LVMH maisons and exchanges with LVMH managers.
