UNIC sends shelters to earthquake victims

The Italian tanning industry’s main representative body, UNIC, has sent five temporary shelters to the town of Accumoli, one of the places most affected by earthquakes in Italy earlier this year.

The first of a series of earthquakes struck in late August and had its epicentre at Accumoli, causing fatalities and extensive damage, with some of the affected families still without shelter, UNIC decided to invest in five temporary homes, each of which is big enough for a family, with a small kitchen, two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living-room and running water and electricity.

UNIC delivered the prefabricated shelters to the town in mid-December.
