Audi celebrates strong growth in Europe
Automotive group Audi has said its sales in Europe in the first 11 months of 2016 showed an increase year on year of 7.1%. Between January and November this year, Audi sold more than 795,000 new vehicles.

It said the successful launch of two new models, the Q2 (pictured) and the A5, have provided a sales boost.

Sales director, Dietmar Voggenreiter, said Europe was the region in which Audi had enjoyed the strongest sales growth in 2016 and he said the Q2, a compact SUV model, will continue to be “an important sales driver in future”.

Globally, Audi sold 1.7 million vehicles in the first 11 months of this year, an increase of 4.2% compared to the same months in 2015. Other important regions in which the company achieved sales growth over the same period were China, with 5.4%, and the US, with growth of 2.9%.
