Lanxess increases chrome chemicals prices by up to 20%

Leather chemicals manufacturer Lanxess has announced an increase in the prices of its chrome chemicals by up to 20% with immediate effect.

In a statement, the company said: “The Leather business unit is forced to take this step due to a dramatic increase in prices of chrome ore, the main raw material for the production of chrome chemicals.
 
Affected products include sodium dichromate, chromic acid and chrome sulfate products Chromosal and Baychrom.
