Follow-up Lanxess leather seminar to go ahead in January
22/11/2016
At the start of this year, Lanxess worked with footwear industry body CADS to organise a seminar that discussed leather preservation and gave an overview of activities connected to the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) inititative.
It said afterwards that feedback from brand representatives who took part had been so positive that a second seminar was likely. It has now confirmed that this follow-up event will go ahead, with January 12 and 13 as the dates.
For the 2017 seminar, the topic will be chrome tanning. It will examine topics including 10 rules tanners must follow when using chrome to produce leather, ways to prevent chrome VI from forming, and the challenge chrome-tanning now faces from alternative tanning technologies.
