11/11/2016
This year is the first in which Audi has reached sales of 1.5 million vehicles in the first ten months.
With its Q2 city sports utility vehicle now reaching dealers, the company said it is optimistic about continuing to grow in the coming months. It described this category as “a young, growing premium segment in which the brand has not been represented so far”.
New A5 Coupé and A4 models have also kept sales healthy, it said, particularly in Europe, the first market in which these vehicles have appeared.
Sales in Europe between January and October 2016 reached 726,850 vehicles, a rise of 6.9% year on year. Sales in China, reaching 487,265 vehicles, have grown by 5.7% over the same period, while the figure for the US was 169,900 cars and growth of 2.9%.
