APLF dates to move to mid-March from 2018

The APLF exhibition will take place in Hong Kong from March 29-31 in 2017, but the organisers have announced that they intend to bring the dates forward in the calendar in subsequent years.

They have confirmed the 2018 dates as March 14-16 and the 2019 dates as March 13-15, with the exhibition taking place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in each case.

“APLF has been held at the end of March for three decades,” the organisers said, “but due to the proximity of the Easter vacation from 2018 onwards a decision has been taken to move the dates forward by approximately two weeks to mid-March.”

They said they had consulted with other fair organisers in the leather sector regarding the change of dates so as to avoid any clashes or overlap and insisted they were certain the new dates will prove to be both “convenient and popular”.

In the western calendar, Easter Sunday will fall on April 1 in 2018, although it will not be until April 21 in 2019.
