Education and research body Institut Français de la Mode (IFM) has said the overall turnover of France’s wider fashion industry is now €150 billion a year.

The figures come from analysis carried out by IFM economist, Franck Delpal, and were published by the organisation during Paris Fashion Week at the start of October.

Mr Delpal went on to say that, of this total, France’s manufacturers of leathergoods and shoes contribute €22 billion per year.
