Ethiopia emphasises the importance of leather

Ethiopia’s industry ministry hosted a new event called the International Agro-Industry Investment Forum in Addis Ababa between October 5 and 7.

Finance and economic cooperation minister, Ahmed Shide, said the forum constituted an opportunity for the Ethiopian government to show the vision it has for agro-industry investment between now and 2025, by which time Ethiopia aims to be Africa’s leading light manufacturing hub.

There were three separate sessions at the event aimed at presenting a positive investment climate to the international community and one of the three was devoted entirely to leather.
