Mike Tomkin joins World Leather this September and will become its new technical editor, taking over from Richard Daniels on his retirement from the post in November.

A graduate of the UK’s Leathersellers College, Mr Tomkin has extensive experience of the international leather industry, having worked most recently as Director of Sustainability for global chemical company Stahl. An expert in the chemistry of finishing technology, with special emphasis on the automotive sector, he has detailed experience working in major tanneries. Working across the breadth of Europe, his career also includes some 11 years with specialty chemical manufacturer Rohm & Haas in the US.
