JBS first-half revenues flat on lower slaughter numbers
11/08/2016
This revenue figure is flat compared to the one for the first half of 2015. JBS does not give a separate figure for JBS Couros. JBS Couros currently runs 25 tanneries, 19 of them in Brazil.
The group has confirmed that, in the first six months of this year, its slaughterhouses in the Mercosul group of countries in South America processed just over 4 million head of cattle. This represents a 10% decline in volume compared to the first half of 2015.
JBS Mercosul said it was optimistic about growing its business owing to the market in the US having opened up recently to imports from Brazil.
