Revenues down for Tyson

08/08/2016
Packer and tanning group Tyson has announced revenues of $9.4 billion for the third quarter and of $27.7 billion for the first nine months of its current business year.

This means a year-on-year decrease in revenues of 6.6% for the third quarter and of 10.2% for the nine-month period.

Specific to beef, sales volume increased in the third quarter of fiscal 2016 due to an increase in live cattle processed. Tyson said this was as a result of higher fed-cattle supplies.
