Germany attracts India’s equestrian leather companies

Thirty-five Indian manufacturers of equestrian leather and finished harness and saddlery items have secured government backing to travel to Cologne in September to present their products at the SPOGA Horse Fair. The event takes place from September 4-6.

India’s Council for Leather Exports has identified Germany as a growing market for equestrian leather products. The market had a value of just over $18 million in fiscal year 2009-2010. By 2013-2014, this figure had grown to more than $30 million.
