Turkish leather bodies to send out sales teams

The Turkish Leather Exporters Union and the Turkish Leather Council have come up with a plan to send specially formed teams to key markets to try to drum up new business for the sector in the wake of the decline of orders from Russia.

These teams will include fashion designers, garment manufacturers and finance people who will work together to convince wholesaler buyers to invest in products from Turkey.

Markets the leather industry bodies have already identified as potentially attractive include the US, Canada, Japan and a number of northern European countries.
