Second tannery trial complete, Xeros says

In mid-May the UK-based company said a first tannery trial had been successful. It released few details, saying only that the trial had taken place in “a leading independent tannery” and had focused on retanning and dyeing. It added that the trial had shown a 50% reduction in water usage for these operations and a 50% reduction in the amount of effluent generated.
Xeros developed its polymer-bead technology for use in the industrial laundry sector but said in 2014 that it believed the technology can work in leather production too. In April 2015 it announced a partnership with leather chemicals manufacturer Lanxess.
